The most important task of Eksport Kredit Fonden (EKF) is to ensure competitive conditions for Danish exports. We are the only organisation on the Danish market to offer insurance against the extraordinary risks that are not covered by private credit insurance. EKF's focus is international business relations that are of economic interest to Denmark. EKF plays a key role in insuring the financing of Danish exports to emerging markets that are subject to both political and commercial uncertainty. An enterprise that is backed by an EKF guarantee will find it easier to finance its exports. EKF is thus instrumental in helping Danish enterprises to develop new markets on less uncertain terms. Our ExpertiseEKF offers insurance of commercial and political risk to exporters and financial institutions with payment risks connected to Danish exports. EKF can cover risks that cannot be covered by the private market (banks and insurance companies). EKF's activities are subject to a number of regulations and limitations, which nonetheless also ensure equal terms for Danish business enterprises in competition with export credit schemes in other countries. |
