FDI On the Way Up After a Steep Decline Last Year

 

With global growth forecasts ranging between 2.9 and 3.3 percent 2010 and 2011, and with developing countries leading the recovery, FDI flows are poised for a comeback. Having declined by around 40 percent in 2009, FDI flows into developing countries, are seeing signs of an upturn in 2010.  

The World Bank estimates FDI flows into developing countries to increase by 22 percent in 2010 and by another 14 percent in 2011.
